Bartlett Instrument may be able to repair your malfunctioning controller.
Following are some guidelines for returning your controller:
Call or e-mail Steve Isaacson at Bartlett Instrument for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Number.
Turn off power to the controller/kiln before removing.
Remove controller from kiln or control box.
Remove the screws at the corners of the keypad.
Pull controller out toward you and disconnect the thermocouple wires, transformer wires, and output wires.
Be sure to label these wires so they can be reattached correctly when the controller is reinstalled.
Print this form to include in the package you will be sending to us.
Complete all the fields marked with an asterisk.
If you are not sure how to complete a field, please call us at 319-372-8366.
Pack the controller for shipping and make sure the completed Bartlett Instrument RMA Form is included.
The controller, especially when not attached to the kiln, has parts which are susceptible to damage due to static charges, therefore the controller should not be wrapped in plastic or Styrofoam. We also advise you NOT to use packing peanuts, as they are generally statically-charged. Newspaper works well for packing if you don't have anti-static packaging.
The standard repair charge is $99.00 plus shipping. We accept either VISA or MasterCard or you can send a check with the repair. If you choose to send a check with the repair, the prepaid shipping is $15.00, so the total check should be made out for $114.00. We can also ship COD but this adds $11.00 to the total repair amount.
The standard repair charge for Model 3K controllers is $65.00.
